Cotherm history
Cotherm is an industrial group founded in 1948 in Grenoble, France.
Initially specialised in the design and production of thermostats for electric storage water heaters, Cotherm is today a market leader in temperature and energy management solutions. Its vocation is to design, manufacture and sell intelligent and connected control systems.
Driven by a will to expand into new geographical markets, export sales first started in the 1950s. In the 1980s started to grow with its first sales office subsidiary in the UK. In the 90s, Cotherm significantly expanded its base with the creation of both sales and production subsidiaries in the USA and in Tunisia, as well as joint venture partnerships.
For the past 20 years, significant marketing and R&D efforts have led to a variety of innovative products in the area of energy management.
New solutions are presented every year to meet global market evolutions in the areas of energy efficiency, transition to renewable energies, smart grid and connectivity.
With different hybrid technologies, Cotherm has become an expert in water heating technologies, working with major Original Equipment Manufacturers worldwide. With its 700 employees around the world and more than 9 million products sold per year, Cotherm generates 80% of its turnover in exports, in more than 60 countries on the 5 continents.
